The fire service was called to Carnbane Industrial Estate at about 02:00 GMT on Friday. The blaze is at one unit in the industrial estate. The fire service is using four fire engines, two aerial appliances and a high-volume pump to tackle the flames. picture Newraypics.com

Rubber Bandits - © NewRayPics.com 01 Jan {ipt999cyear4} Northern Ireland For as far as the eye could see , Over 1,000 used tyres were dumped in bogland high up on the mountain road leading to Clermont Cairn at Edentubber, Ravensdale Co Louth , less than a mile from the border . This is an on-going problem with dumping at this remote area. The dumping of Hundreds of Tyres at a beauty spot in north Louth has been branded “a disgrace”. Everything from household rubbish to tyres have been dumped here over the last 20 years.
